Tower of London - Off with them heads!

The Tower of London is a great site to visit for its: a medieval moat, famous beheadings, a zoo, omen-ic ravens, crown jewels, arms and armour and 'beef eaters'. The tower palace and prison were built in Norman times then expanded over time.  The original moat was filled in the 19th C due to festering sewage and cholera.  The famous Yeoman Warders have been guarding the tower since 1485.  There are 35 of them who live within the tower walls and provide amusing tours with lots of gory historical facts.

Tower of London has interesting installations that represent its past e.g. it was a zoo before the animals were relocated to the current Zoo's position.
