Eiffel: you can overcome the wind chill with Champagne!

The day we went to the Eiffel was bitterly cold and windy.  We had to que 45mins to walk up to the 2nd level then qued again to get the lift up to the summit which was sooooo cold.  The family wasn't dressed warmly enough to line up in the cold wind for an hour half way up the Eiffel - we were questioning the madness of it at the time.  When we finally did emerged from the lift it was too cold to stay out side for long so mummy had a quick champagne for 12 Euro then went inside for hot chips and chocolate!
