Beautiful Paris! Saint Germain des pres, Notre Dame, Luxembourg Palace gardens and Crepes!

We caught the Eurostar from St Pancras London tube under the Channel to Paris.  The train was great very quick just had to pop your ears a few times, but we left behind a grey cold city and emerged into the sunlight of Paris!

Our apartment: Citidines was on the Siene River walking distance to the galleries and the quintessential Parisian streets of Saint Germain - gorgeous!

Arriving in Paris Nord train station.

Our apartment with 3 arched columns.
The Seine concourse opposite the apartment.

Notre Dame Cathedral 1163

A gargoyle on the medieval Gothic cathedral

Mass being conducted against the backdrop of the spectacular Rose windows of the cathedral.

Lighting a candle in the cathedral

Classic Parisian Cafe L'Atlas where we went for breakfast

The backstreets of St Germain the Latin Quarter behind our apartment some buildings dated 1600's

Beret necessary attire!

Yummy bakery - lots of Easter treats hand made chocolates etc

There are lots of creperies in Paris this one was covered in mosaics a Moroccan inspired cafe called Creperie Saint Germain.

Walked through Marche aux Fleurs 1808 a flower market on the Ile de la Cite one of the tiny islands on the Seine.

Pont Neuf bridge in the distance

Jardin du Luxembourg

Cafe De Flore where the Impressionist Artists used to frequent - traditional French cafe waiters wearing aprons and serving with aplomb.
