Making Lei's and strumming the Ukulele!

In the brief stop over we had in Waikiki we managed to squeeze a bit of culture in.  At the hotel they ran various classes for guests including fresh lei making.  A lei is a garland of fresh flowers, nuts or shells and is given as a sign of affection on arrival into Hawaii.

For you!

Making lei's is fun!

Traditionally you have to kiss the person you place a lei onto.

Ah sibling love!

Knocking back a mock Mai Tai!

The Ukulele originated in Hawaii the C19th following its predecessors introduction by the Portuguese.

I'm strumming so fast my fingers are sore!
